Before coming to Iona Pods we would ask that you run through our wee checklist to make sure that you are prepared correctly. As we are a small remote island there may be things that are different to other glamping sites you have visited previously.
For all ferry information please check at www.calmac.co.uk–
For all bus information please check at www.westcoastmotors.co.uk
Only vehicles with a permit can be taken onto Iona, therefore all vehicles must be left in Fionnphort in the free car park. If you have any disabilities or special requirements in which you need to bring your vehicle, please contact Argyll & Bute Council –
If you require a taxi please contact Iona Taxi and book ahead – www.ionataxi.co.uk
With Iona being such a small and remote island please check that (depending on the time of year) that there are amenities open, and what hours they are open between. Please check www.welcometoiona.com for more information on what is available on Iona
Please make sure that you have any phone numbers that you may need, including Iona Pods which is 01681 700 233. Please be aware that depending on your network provider, phone signal and 3/4G may be limited
Each pod is equipped with its own bedding for up to 4 people. Please note we do not provide towels at this moment.
After checking the weather please make sure that you have appropriate clothing. With us being on a small island we are exposed to the elements and depending on what excursions you plan on doing may be windier/colder than what is forecasted. Sun screen is vital if planning on doing boat trips within the summer months (providing we see the sun!)
Each Pod is equipped with a kettle, fridge, microwave and small hob. There is also basic crockery and cutlery provided within each pod.
