Wunderschöne Lage mit Blicks aufs Wasser, Strand und Dorf sind gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Pods sind schön eingerichtet, sauber und sehr gemütlich. Nette Gastgeber. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

We were the first visitors of the season to this wonderful pod site. Owner hooked us up with his best pod. He came out and welcomed us as we walked up. Said he was just looking to head out to pick us up from the ferry (which we didn’t ask for or expect). Wonderful views from the pod and 10 minute walk from ferry. I was really looking forward to this experience as I've read a lot about this accommodation and Island in general. Even in mostly rain it was a pleasure staying in the pods. They really had everything you could think of and were smartly arranged. I loved it to have a proper couch to chill and read in Pod nr 4. It was a bit annoying to get out of the cosy warm pod at night to go to the washrooms, but that I knew before booking. Things I would have liked to know before going to the island was that dinner options are limited and sometimes not available at all and that Staffa tours can get cancelled days in a row. But this is not the Iona pods responsibility to share. Just good to know for next guests reading this! The surrounding are awesome, sheep everywhere and just 10-15 min to most beautiful beach. I didnt really see the owners or management, would have liked to see a bit more of them for easy questions without phoning or just a nice chat. One of the loveliest pod hotels on the planet (I haven't been to that many, but I feel confident saying this notwithstanding).  Iona is absolutely stunning (it was my first time), and the pod grounds overlook the channel and abut the hill that is the highest point on the island.  You're also walking distance from several beautiful beaches (indeed the whole island is walking distance, but the nicest beach is only 15 minutes walking north).  The staff including Will were truly next-level friendly and accommodating when we had travel snafus (the roads to get to Oban where the first ferry leaves from, and also on the Isle of Mull, are very narrow, often one lane for both directions, and we trashed a tire - if you're a silly American like me and not used to driving on the left I implore you to be extra careful!).  We stayed in the en-suite pod with its own bathroom and shower, but the common bathrooms and showers also seemed very clean and nice.  Our pod was pristine and super cute, the bed was more comfortable than in almost any hotel I've stayed at, and it was really well equipped if you want to make/eat food there.  There are only a few places to stay on the island, and the hotels had good food at their restaurants, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great experience at the pods this summer. The location is stunning and the pods are so comfortable. It is close to the ferry terminal and main area of shops (approx. 15 mins walk), so I was surprised to see someone saying it was far -- it isn't, and the way is paved and with a gorgeous view. The pods are well equipped, the standard ones don't have a sink but you can use the communal kitchen, it's no big deal. All facilities are in perfect condition. The only problem was that showers in the women's bathroom was overflowing a bit with people washing their things there, but if you let them know they'll fix it right up. The owners seem to be thoughtful of reviews too because I can tell that they've made adjustments based on older reviews, e.g., the mattresses are new and perfect, honestly bed mattress I've slept on in my whole life. Someone also complained a few years ago about light pollution -- not sure what they mean, this isn't a problem now at least. There were some small lamps on the ground along paths but they're barely noticeable, it's not something that would cause pollution or nuisance.
