Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Our aim at Iona Pods is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. However, we must ask that you read and accept the following terms and conditions, which must be adhered to by all guests. This ensures we can maintain our standards and ensure your safety, as well as establishing a clear legal contract for cancellation, damage and exceptional circumstance.
Arrival/Departure:
Our pods are available from 3pm on the day of arrival. On departure pods should be left clean and tidy and vacated by 11am (unless we have agreed an extended check-out) to allow us time to change the bedding, tidy up and make it lovely for the next guests!
Booking:
When you make a booking a booking confirmation email will be sent to you confirming the the of accommodation, dates, times and payment details of your holiday. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract.
Group Bookings:
Unlike some sites we don’t turn away parties or mixed groups, however we do ask that you respect the other guest and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if you are in breach of our site rules (see below).
Payment:
For direct bookings we require a 25% deposit at the time of booking. This is fully refundable until 1 week before arrival and non-refundable within the last week. The balance is due 1 week before arrival and that is only refundable if we’re able to re-let any cancelled nights.
For bookings made through third party websites full payment is due 1 week before arrival and is non-refundable in event of cancellation.
We recommend you take holiday cancellation insurance to cover any loss. In the unlikely event that any of our accommodation is not available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Iona pods cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the holiday will be refunded.
Age Policy:
As a general rule, we do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18 without parental approval.
Cleaning:
Please remember that the showers, toilets, and communal areas are shared, so we request you clean up after use and try to accommodate others’ usage. Please leave the wash room, toilets and showers as you find them and let us know if there are any problems. We will empty the bins, clean the showers and toilets and take the recycling and rubbish away. Please keep your pod clean and dispose of your litter in the bins and recycling facilities provided. Dirty pods are ugly and litter kills wildlife.
Barbecues:
You can’t beat cooking over an open fire but please make sure you leave all BBQs and fires outside even if you think it’s gone out. Carbon Monoxide is a deadly, invisible poison. Barbecues must not be used inside the pods or any other service building. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
Flames, hunting and Fireworks:
No firearms, hunting paraphernalia, fireworks or Chinese lanterns are permitted on the farm. No naked flames of any sort are permitted inside pods.
Negligence:
Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the structure caused by negligence.
Noise:
We love good music and welcome good musicians. We don’t allow any amplified music or loud reveling that disturbs our other guests and local residents. Quiet time is 10pm to 8am. It’s really important to us that other guests have a peaceful break and are shown respect and all need sleep for tomorrow’s adventures! Anyone committing a nuisance or disturbing the peace may be asked to leave immediately and without a refund.
No Smoking Policy:
All of our pods and service buildings have a strictly No Smoking Policy. Anyone who smokes outdoors is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts in a clean and tidy manner.
Pets:
Due to our site being situated on a working farm, we do not allow any pets on our site. If you are visiting Iona and would like to bring a pet please try our sister campsite www.ionacampsite.co.uk
Lost/Stolen Property:
Iona Pods cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.
Unloading:
Free car parking is available on site for those that have a permit for a vehicle on the island. Please drive slowly on site and park your cars in the car park not in the pod field.
Livestock:
Our site is part of a working farm so at times there may be live stock in the surrounding fields. Please admire the livestock from your side of the fence and not theirs, Iona Pods can’t be held responsible for any accidents if you are in their field. We also ask that you don’t feed any of our livestock.
